Fundraising for children in tanzania
Beginning their journey in 1998 out of just a chicken coop, Sakila Sponsorship Nonprofit has made it their mission to help children of all ages get an accredited education and disrupt the never ending cycle of poverty.

Through the grace of God, this amazing organization has grown out of the chicken coop and now has an annual enrollment of over 1100 students, 55 teachers and 35 support staff. 

Located in the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, the Sakila Village has been struck by financial hardship and sickness, making it exceedingly difficult to provide the necessary funds to continue sponsoring children on their educational journey. 

Every day, as funding sources lessen, children cannot continue their education (nor can they support anyone trying to enroll in the program).

By attending GIVE Seattle and any additional donations, you will help a child further their faith-based education, give them access to meals, medical care, books and uniforms, and break out of the vicious poverty cycle.

You'll get a wonderful look at this incredible group of kids at the event but your support will mean more than you know.

For GIVE Seattle 2022, a select number of middle school kids from a local business leadership organization will be joining us on a stadium wide scavenger hunt. Together we will help them lead our GIVE community on an interactive, fun series of challenges throughout T-Mobile park.


For GIVE Seattle 2022, a select number of middle school kids from a local business leadership organization will be joining us on a stadium wide scavenger hunt. Together we will help them lead our GIVE community on an interactive, fun series of challenges throughout T-Mobile park.
Here's how it works: 20 or so young kids will be split up into small groups and will act as team captains of the scavenger hunt. We (GIVE Nation) will all break into groups and help each of the young leaders in their mission to complete all scavenger hunt steps before their fellow peers.

Whether they win or not, just think what kind of lasting impression this experience will make for the rest of their lives...

For an event like no other, we needed a venue that met its match.

Instead of packing everyone into a stuffy ballroom, I thought - why not rent out a stadium?!

Was it possible? I had no idea.

But after some serious digging and many unique conversations, we are going to be taking over one of the Seattle Mariners' premier suite wings for a workshop setting that (in my recollection) has never been done before.

So, you're probably wondering... How is this even going to work? I'm glad you asked.

It's what you would expect from any other stadium or professional area setting. 

You will arrive at a designated time, ushered through security gates, and be escorted via the escalators, elevators, or stairs up to the private suite level.

Then, you'll be greeted by our incredible GIVE staff where you'll check in, collect your GIVE bag (packed with gifts) and workbook, and prepare for a packed productive day of masterminding and workshopping.

The 1st Base Terrace Club overlooks the field and has roll up garage doors to allow open air flow in the event it gets too stuffy in there. 

Yes, doing away with regurgitated ballroom A/C air altogether!

Because this is a guided workshop with a follow-along workbook, we exhausted less attention on perfecting the traditional stage environment and focused more on what the collaboration experience should be like. 

Again, this is going wildly outside the box so prepare yourself for something new!

Since this event is being held outside of the hotel, we are not coordinating a special room block or any kind of GIVE-specific rate. You can stay at the preferred hotel next door to the stadium called the Silver Cloud Seattle Stadium Hotel.

What airport should I fly into?
Seattle Tacoma International Airport (SEA) is the best airport to fly into. Depending on traffic, the Airport is approximately a 20-30 min drive away from T-Mobile Park. 
Do I need to catch a cab? Or are there any Ubers to flag?
There are plenty of Ubers, cabs, and ride share options available at SEATAC airport.  There's a simple light rail system that'll drop you right by the stadium, but I presume it'll be much easier to grab an Uber or ride share of some kind at the airport's designated ride share pickup area.
Will the event be recorded?
To keep with our GIVE mission, the entire event will be recorded and you’ll receive access to the video replays soon after the event concludes. These recordings will be made available to EVERYONE, even if they didn't attend. If you're wondering, "Well, why attend the event if I can see it later?"

I'm glad you asked! 

1. Let's be honest, are you really going to carve out 8 hours worth of recordings when you're life is crazy busy as it is?! Let's be real.

2. The true heart and soul of this event comes from the LIVE in person GIVING and peer to peer collaboration. Plus, we're not recording the charity day or any of the auction festivities.

So in the end, we are going to GIVE these recordings freely to everyone to attract more mission driven people to our community.
What should I bring, and is there a dress code?
GIVE is a tactical event, so think about what you’ll need for maximum productivity throughout this jam-packed weekend. Here’s some suggestions: 
​➡ Your best note-taking device (computer, tablet, etc.) Wi-fi will be available at the event at no extra charge.
​➡ For Day 1 and social gatherings: Casual to business casual attire
​➡ And for Day 2, wear comfy clothes, comfy shoes, and your biggest heart
